Mr. Roberts is a founding member of Roberts Mlotkowski Safran & Cole,
P.C. and has over 38 years experience in the intellectual property field
in both Europe and the United States. His practice includes counseling clients regarding the
procurement, enforcement, licensing and evaluation of patents, particularly in the chemical and
energy sectors. He advises established and emerging companies in all aspects of patent law,
including preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S. and foreign countries and
providing patent validity and infringement opinions.
In addition, Mr. Roberts has extensive experience in the drafting and negotiation of all forms of
technology transfer agreements including confidentiality agreements, license agreements,
leases, technology joint ventures and consultancy agreements.
Mr. Roberts is a British Chartered Patent Agent and is qualified as a European Patent Attorney.
He has extensive experience in the filing, prosecution and evaluation of oppositions and
appeals before the British, European, and Japanese Patent Offices.
Furthermore, Mr. Roberts has been awarded an AV rating (highest attorney rating) by
Martindale-Hubbell.
